Community- Based- Rehabilitation
Nairobi Family Support Services runs a CBR program, a community development strategy using local resources and encouraging community and family participation in disability rehabilitation. Our CBR program focuses on health, education, livelihood, and social empowerment.
We offer comprehensive physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and orthopedic services provided by professionals alongside social workers, educational assessors, and community-based volunteers. The team handles the identification, screening, and referral of children with disabilities.
Our rehabilitation clinics in Kibera and Waithaka address disabilities such as cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, hemiplegia, hydrocephalus, hearing impairment, visual impairment, deafblind/MDVI, and delayed milestones. Early identification and intervention are emphasized for better results.
